i really need to have some sort of reminder saying "yes carolyn, you do have a blog.. no, carolyn, you dont write in it often enough."  spring semester is over, summer has started.  im living down at school for most of the week.  as of now i work wednesday-saturday so i can spend saturday night-tuesday/wednesday morning at home if i wanted to.. but i may try to get a second job (due to my terrible spending habits) i'm about to cry watching the biggest loser finals (lisa okok i know, but i dont sob) the older woman in the finals looks like the mom from dirty sexy money and i really dont want her to win, id rather see the newly hot young girl win.  i have to go back to school tomorrow bummmer but hopefully enough people are down there so i can at least have a good time when im not working (and visitors are welcome ahhem mo and oliva). damn, the old woman won..i wanna start downloading more music but i know im getting a new computer so itd be a waste cuz im gonna lose it anyway. this is sad its 10 and im ready to hit the hay. i think im actually gonna go do that..

woww its been a while since i wrote anything.. i guess im just never doing anything interesting enough to write about. EXCEPT NOW! I'm leavin for kansas city tomorrow morning to go to nationals and i cant even get a full nights sleep cuz my nerves are runnin on high. we had our last club practice last night, it was really sad. more than half of the girls on my team aren't coming back next year, including maggie, who's been my setter since freshman year of high school. as a matter of fact all of the setters aren't coming back, so now we have to find people to replace all of them. we took pictures of different groups: the girls not coming back, team 1 and team 2, and the founding fath...mothers? It was strange to see all of us who started out together and i'm the only one going one more year. it's basically gonna be a shit show saturday night once the tournaments over and im kinda really really excited for that. last year i got myself into a little trouble but im sure this year ill be acting a little more responsibly..yeah..well gotta get my day started, way too much to do!

Secret

well, i woke up this morning to an e-mail telling me that im in exercise science but i can't take any major classes til spring semester next year. i dont quite understand why theyre telling me im in the major then, its kinda pointless, waiting til the next semester puts me at graduating after the 5 year mark and i dont want that. right after i closed out that e-mail i sent in applications to eastern and uic. called janet, told her the situation shes cool with it, if i went to the other schools id graduate a little earlier and be happier than i am now. im at the point where im so frustrated i just want to be away from isu. so i was looking at grad schools and what not, and im thinkin i may go through like 7 careers before i stop going to school. i figure i can either go back to school for nursing, exercise physiology for cardiac rehab, or physical therapy. i think my chances are better for the first two because pt is so competitive. after a few years of working if im not happy i can go back to school for therapy. yuckk i wish there was a level of certainty with all this school business. anywhooo im really glad its wednesday and im going home for spring break on thursday night (i have $12 and some change left in my bank account). i have a test thursday night and i am outta here! st pattys day parade is gonna be great! home cooked meals are gonna be nice too. whoa just freaked out cuz the song im listening to right now is by kate walsh, and i looked at her picture she has dark red hair and looked like the kate walsh from greys, but its not the same gal. okaaayy so! im out, laterrrrrrr!

so i just spent some time reading my old blog. yeah, way back when we were little redhawks, we had blogs- weird! its funny to see what i used to complain about, id say i was unstable, a little nuts-o. and i used "prob" way too much for probably.. lis i guess we did 'breve' words at that age? my mom came here today, shes sleeping in my bed right now but im not quite tired yet. its nice to see what a clean floor looks like in this apartment, its been a while! i have a tournament at michigan state this weekend, its still tentative though because supposedly the roads will be really bad? i wanna play but at the same time, were missing 2 starters, its a 6 hour drive, and there will be visitors this weekend, important visitors, matt mcnally-important visitors. i hope my mom can sleep because there is hella loud music being played upstairs, typicalll! its a b-e-a-utiful day in the cornfields today, with a high of 60 degrees! I would be the happiest girl ever if it just stayed like this until april-ish. Really looking forward to this week, it'll be a lot better than last because i have only ONE test to take, and it should be pretty easy. I need a new book/series to get into, i find myself watching way too much TV- i'd rather read. We're headin to u of i this weekend for gornicks big 2-1. He's under the impression that he won't be drinking until sundown on friday... so wrong, my friend, so wrong. This will be my first stay at u of i in my college career. I'm sure it will be much more fun now that i don't have to lie about my age and pose as someone 4 years older than my actual age ( i wasn't 17 posi ng as a 21 year old either.. more like..13 posing as a 17 y/o- yuck). Single's Awareness Day coming up on saturday whoo! We'll be celebrating at either U of I or EIU. Fun times will be had at either arena. I'm thinking about planning a spring break trip.. either wisconsin or some place my aunts were talking about.. it sounded like more of a family place though- not a college kids cup of tea. Well i'm gettin a little distracted so I guess its time to watch Jeopardy!

If Only

about to start week 2 of school but it still feels like we havent actually started at all. this weekend was grrrreat- i especially loved staying out until 5am with lisa- always a good choice! first practice was tonight and WOWWWW im not used to playing, its gonna take a couple weeks before im back into the groove of the court. im reeeally interested to know who these beautiful people are that mo took pictures of. i watched a pretty hilarious video involving the cubs and fukudome (mo and liv expect me to post that on your comments when im done with this mindless babble). im thinkin about going home this weekend, i could always count on my sister for points...... you could ask but i wouldnt tell you anyway. i gotta find a day to get into the studio and start composing for the langerangs featuring rosalia barajas and carolyn campion; it always relaxes me. i watched greys today- it was a good episode im glad meredith decided to come clean. i finally watched love actually from beginning to end and ive come to the decision that british people are just too dark and dreary- it must be due to the weather over there. time to get goin, tomorrow's my busy day! (tuesday thursday classes- off wednesdays and friday, its a tough life i know)

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! It was pretty awesome if i do say so myself... my schedule calls for one class (a lab) on mondays at 2pm- today it was cancelled. welcome back to school. so todaay was really boring, danielle has work all day, lisa has class til 6ish and laurens about to leave me for a night class. I need to find a new book to read cuz if im gonna have all this free time on mondays wednesdays and fridays, ill need something to take up some time. I found my old blog on xanga.. from what i read there wasnt too much to be embarrassed about... there were still good ones though. i think maura needs to book a flight to the Central Illinois Regional Airport for a weekend in bloomington normal- i hear good things. Volleyball isn't starting until next week :( its gonna take a little time to get back into the swing of things with that. My brother got hired at Maria High School for the physics teacher position. YAY JERRY! My moms so worried some girl is gonna accuse him of fathering her illegitimate child.. im worried shes gonna be right hahaha nono im not. This semester is gonna be different. SO DIFFERENT. I already feel a change coming, lisa's moved in and we can be a complete apartment now :) Ever consider doing something you vowed at one point to never do, but as time went on it didnt seem like such a terrible idea? i think the excitement of a new semester is messing with my decision and reasoning skills, ill stop myself im sure. Anna paquin won a golden globe for trueblood. if anyone has time to kill watch the episodes online- its so good, bill is hotTTT.. the books are better but i know its easier to watch a show. Im gonna go lurk in the kitchen for a while and try to decide what I may want to eat for dinner.. might just be ramen yumm!
